What is MacProd? In the winter semester of 2020, the McMaster Music Production Society was created by a small group of McMaster students who had a dream. Producers themselves, the club’s founders were certain that McMaster was full of talented musical production artists - they just needed a community to call home. Since the club’s ratification, Macprod has continued to grow as an accesible community of connection and collaboration for producers at McMaster University. Macprod’s activity includes (but is not limited to) biweekly meetings for music sharing and production workshops, virtual connection among members via Discord, and live artist showcase events.
If you are an experienced music producer, interested in getting started with music production, or are just want to meet musicians at Mac, you have come to the right place. Welcome to the Macprod family!
We are...

1. A student community dedicated to music production and audio engineering.
2. An educational support for student producers, offering tutorials on digital audio workstations (DAWs), sound engineering techniques and music composition.
3. A safe environment in which anyone interested in music production can learn, share and create in a collaborative environment.
